In a team of 2, we created an educational toy for prekindergarten children to learn addition and subtraction of natural numbers up to 9. Design constraints include the boy being easy to use and results being shown in an intuitive way. Additionally, the toy should contain no small parts and be made of materials safe for children. To meet the requirements, we created a fully mechanical design based on gear mechanism contained in a food-grade ABS shell. We created the CAD assembly of the toy using SolidWorks and completed the full technical drawing package.
